If you have a valid WILL, is it current, is it enforceable, would it be challenged and perhaps thrown out. Let our office review your WILL and advise for any potential loopholes or weakness that could result in your wishes not be carried out. In addition to WILLS, the state of Texas Requires legal documentation if you wish to be cremated. Do you wish to be cremated, do you have the proper documentation to have that done. Moreover, have you thought about life support, resuscitation, and what will happen if you are taken to the hospital unconscious.

Now is the time to make those important decisions while you are healthy and lucid and not when you are in a hurry, or worse heavily medicated. While these documents may appear simple and straight forward, if they do not include the proper legal language, you are planning may be for not. Do not put off this exercise and worry about what your future may look like.

It is not uncommon for people to forgo drafting these documents because they are either unclear what their estate will look like, or they are seeking to keep the size of their estate secret. A valid WILL does not need to itemize your current assets or value(s). Many estates change over time and the best WILL is one that does not need to be updated every year.
